Sustainable water and wastewater management
Water as a natural resource has become increasingly scarce over the past years and environmentalists are trying to find solutions as the problem escalates with climate change and the rapid population growth, which continues to put a strain on the already scarce resource.
Water scarcity is a big problem being experienced in Sub Saharan Africa and this is directly related to the
usage, wastage and conservation patterns as we seek to address the ongoing water problems.
we at Don Bosco Technical Institute Marsabit in partnership with Green TVET program give yearly capacity building to our students through awareness creation campaigns to achieve sustainable water and wastewater management.
our objective is;
1. To create awareness on the best practices of water use and management of water scarcity
2. To guide the students to understand the use of water efficient technologies and take advantage of
landscape design for water harvesting and conservation.
3. To create awareness on water quality and the importance of proper sanitation.
4. To guide the students on water conservation, preservation and restoration.
5. To create awareness on the relationship between climate change and water
